Ben Hawker

Music Assistant

Making the drive up from Baltimore, MD, Ben began his musical training with The Maryland State Boychoir; he sang in their choirs for 13 years, including a three year stint as a Conducting Intern. After studying music at Towson University, Ben now works as a professional chorister in the Baltimore area, and is the Executive Director of Quorus, a male a cappella classical chamber choir. Ben found the Barbershop Harmony Society in 2011, and while he hasn’t been a member long, he has quickly become very involved in many areas of the society. In addition to Parkside Harmony, Ben sings baritone in the quartet Pratt Street Power, which had the honor of becoming the International Youth Barbershop Quartet Champion in July 2016.  Ben is also a BHS Music Category judge candidate, and enjoys making arrangements and learning tracks for barbershop groups around the world.
