Jim grew up here in Lancaster county, graduating from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 1999. During his time there, he was fortunate enough to have Dr. Jay Butterfield as his choral director and vocal mentor. Jim started his foray into the performing arts in high school with musicals, plays and madrigal singing, and then attended Hofstra University where he many opportunities to further his studies. He has performed with community theater groups such as the Actors Company of Pa at the Lancaster Fulton Opera House and the Ephrata Performing Arts Center, as well as the Millersville University Student Theatre. In his 15+ years of performance experience, he has participated in nearly every aspect of the theater, including stage management, set design and construction, and musical and acting direction.
Jim is pleased and proud to bring his performance experience and skills to Parkside Harmony, and in the process, help to even further elevate and enhance the wonderful art of barbershop singing.
He currently lives in Lancaster, PA with his beautiful wife Joy.
