Don Staffin

Don has a rich history in a cappella music, with extensive experience in singing, directing, managing, and arranging. His passion for a cappella is shared with his wife, Chris, a fellow member of Parkside, and together they co-directed their a cappella group at Cornell University.

In 2011, Don joined the Barbershop Harmony Society, where he has made significant contributions, including serving as the current VP/Artistic Director of Somerset Hills Harmony in New Jersey. A trailblazer in promoting inclusivity, Don pioneered the "Everyone in Harmony" initiative and helped establish one of the Society's early mixed chapters.

In his professional life, Don is a global executive in e-commerce for the commercial maritime industry. Despite his demanding career, he has dedicated time to mentoring youth in music, coaching, arranging, and directing a cappella groups in the Bridgewater-Raritan School District since 2007.

Don is also a prolific composer, having published over thirty a cappella arrangements. Additionally, he is a published author, showcasing his diverse creative talents. Outside of music and work, Don is a father of four grown daughters (including a set of triplets) and a “certified cow whisperer.” He has also entertained audiences worldwide as a performer and producer of clean comedy shows, appearing on stage across three continents.
